Governance to support koala conservation

The Queensland Government appointed the first Koala Advisory Council in 2018 to work collaboratively in developing the South East Queensland Koala Conservation Strategy 2020–2025.

The formation of the Council was one of the recommendations of the Koala Expert Panel.

Governance arrangements to support the Queensland Government’s commitment to work toward a new South East Queensland Koala Conservation Strategy will be detailed will be published with the release of the new Strategy.
