Urban flying-fox management area map request form

To confirm whether a particular flying-fox roost is inside or outside the urban flying-fox management area (UFFMA), you may generate a localised UFFMA map.

To do this, enter the relevant property details and your email address on the form below. You will receive an UFFMA map via email in Portable Document Format (PDF).

UFFMA maps will be centred on the property entered and will show the property boundary and roads. Areas inside the UFFMA are shaded red, areas outside the UFFMA are not shaded. Maps are best printed in colour at A3 size.

If confirmation of the UFFMA requires mapping of any different scale to that automatically generated, please contact the department at wildlife.management@detsi.qld.gov.au.

Outside these areas, or for non-council applicants, a flying-fox roost management permit is required.

N.B. Only local councils are authorised as-of-right under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 to manage, including disperse, flying-fox roosts that fall within UFFMAs.
